End-of-Year Reflections and What’s Ahead for 2026
As 2025 comes to a close, this moment offers a chance to take stock of where Carolina Commons Creative is heading and why this work matters in a landscape marked by complexity, rapid change, and the steady pressure to do more with less. The past year confirmed something essential: leadership development grounded in presence, attention, and human depth is no longer optional. It is the differentiator.
Carolina Commons continues to support individuals and business leaders who are navigating uncertainty, organizational strain, and the cultural forces reshaping how we work and relate. The year brought new partnerships, expanded reach, and deeper integration of our core promise: helping people build the capacity to think clearly, collaborate wisely, and lead with integrity in environments that challenge all three.
This reflection gathers the major updates from the year, introduces new resources, and outlines opportunities for those looking to begin 2026 with clarity and intention.
Welcoming a New Team Member: Janae Merriweather
We close the year by welcoming Janae Merriweather as Executive Assistant at Carolina Commons. Janae brings six years of experience supporting CEOs and leadership teams, and she strengthens the operational backbone that allows our work to move with precision and reliability. Her structured approach, calm presence, and ability to anticipate needs make her a crucial force in helping us scale our services in the coming year.
Her contributions will improve client communication, system organization, and the flow of projects across coaching engagements, workshops, and partnership development. This addition positions Carolina Commons to deepen its service to clients while expanding the scope of what we can offer in 2026.
Theater of Self: Princeton
Our Flagship Program Continues Its Growth
Theater of Self, our experiential approach to cultivating meaning, presence, and depth in professional and personal life, is expanding northward. Through a new partnership with the Princeton Healthy Aging Foundation and the McCarter Theatre, we will launch a series of Theater of Self programs in Princeton this spring.
These offerings invite participants into embodied learning that strengthens reflective capacity, communicative clarity, and the ability to navigate inner and interpersonal complexity. This next phase of Theater of Self is made possible through the generous support of PHAF and its chairman, Conrad Plimpton, whose trust in the mission continues to open new avenues for the work.
Gifting Guidance: Coaching for Someone You Care About
For those seeking meaningful gifts this season, coaching sessions through Carolina Commons offer a practical and thoughtful way to support someone stepping into a new professional horizon or navigating a personal transition. The work creates space for structured reflection, clarity, and actionable movement toward self-understanding and growth. As clients often say, the value compounds - showing up not only in work but in every domain of life.
What’s Coming Up: Workshops and Trainings
The year ahead brings a diverse slate of workshops and leadership immersions:
Each program is built around a consistent purpose: strengthening the internal capacities leaders need to meet complexity with discernment, courage, and relational maturity.
A New Connection: Partnering with the Center for Creative Leadership
One of the most significant developments of 2025 is the expanded partnership between Carolina Commons Creative and the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL). This collaboration strengthens our ability to serve leaders who are confronting the demands of influence, collaboration, and decision-making in fast-changing conditions.
CCL’s research-based leadership frameworks pair naturally with Carolina Commons’ expertise in embodied intelligence, depth psychology, and somatic presence. The result is a more comprehensive set of offerings that address both the internal and external dimensions of leadership.
This partnership has already opened new channels for executive coaching, assessment work, and program facilitation. Going forward, Carolina Commons will contribute to CCL’s evolving focus on leadership in an AI-driven world while continuing to offer The Presence Lab™, offsites, and one-on-one coaching for leaders seeking a deeper path to influence and resilience.
This next chapter represents a meaningful step toward our mission: helping people lead with more awareness, courage, and integrity.
Work With Us: Beginning the New Year with Intention
As you look ahead to 2026, coaching offers a structured container for making sense of transition, difficulty, possibility, and aspiration. The work is not therapy, but it is therapeutic. It supports the kind of inner clarity that strengthens decision-making, expands agency, and re-grounds leaders in their purpose.
Whether you’re considering leadership coaching, bringing Carolina Commons into your organization for an offsite, or exploring Theater of Self for your team or community, we welcome the conversation.
